painting

burritos!

yesterday we went to see ryan's paintings as a part of Portland Open Studios. it was really cool, i've seen some of ryan's work in person, and some online, but it was great to see a whole bunch of it all at once!! the good news is you can go next weekend!!! (check the link above and look under the letter K)
we're really excited about the Sound Ghost one... but i guess i especially liked his wall of smaller mainly black/white paintings of bits of landscape/cityscape. you can see a few of them on the wall in the group photo.

and i'm also really liking the paintings he does with screen over top...because when you see them in real life, it has a 3D effect and i guess i just love the depth to it, and the whole idea.
